Remember how I had my business Japanese test last Friday? Probably not, but I did. And that means I don’t have to go to my business class in 1gen today.
I still manage to make myself rush off first second block though…which was definitely not a good idea. First off, I was drifting everywhere in the rain on my fixed gear bike. Secondly, because I got knocked off my bike by a car.
Let me elaborate. On my way to school, there are many intersections between small ass streets so it’s hard to check around corners. For this purpose, many of the streets have mirrors on them to show who-is-a-lurking around the corner, but some streets just don’t have them when they ought to. I got hit in exactly one of these places. I guess it’s also my fault for not slowing down at the intersection, but heck I was the one who got t-boned. Knocked me a meter away from my bike. Good thing it didn’t hurt at all. Which in itself is kind of scary. After reassuring the driver I was fine, I biked off towards school, extra carefully.
After sharing my morning mishaps to my friends, they scared the living daylights out of me with stories of their friend who also got hit by a car and thought he was fine, but woke up the next day paralyzed. Thanks guys.
Insert boring school day here.
For a while now, Philipp and I have been itching to have a poker cash game going, and as I recall, I have already told you of our epic journey to find poker chips. In the end we gave in and ordered online. And damn were they fast. It came by Monday night.
Looks like it’s game on!
